Making Simple tools with AI
The problem
I didn't really understand how to build with AI and what kind of results to expect from these tools.
So to test if I wanted to throw two simple problems and some models and see what kind of results I would get.
The result
I wont bore you with the prompt and details as most people have already built large systems around AI with parallel agents, skills and MCPs.
Instead I just uploaded the results that the models built after a bit of back and forth and testing.

This tool tried to help find a realistic estimate based on various factors
What did I learn from this
After running these tests I found that I fundamentally changed the way I look at different problems.
Now instead of me doing all the boiler-plating just to test my ideas I could just formulate in text and have an AI do the initial take.
This helped me make small scale projects, that I do for fun and personal gain, a lot more manageable.
By dipping my toes in the water I also slowly started my journey on integration AI fully into my full time job.
What I want next
Instead of having to rely on expensive hardware and subscriptions I would love to have small scale models running at home.
Given that I already have a homelab and some extra hardware laying around it should be more then doable to get some Gemma4 models running locally.
